Hello my name is Matthew Nellis, but you probably already knew that from the title of the website. Nevertheless, allow me to introduce myself properly:

I was born in June 1984; the year of Band Aid , Virgin Atlantic’s inaugural flight and the sale of Apple’s first Macintosh computer. A fine year indeed.

I studied a TV Technology and Production BSc in Birmingham, spending most of my time making short films and generally being a media whore. Shortly after graduating I moved to London where I now work as broadcast operator for Bloomberg TV.

I like messing around with After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and other aspects of the Adobe Creative Suite. I also like video games and writing music.

In April 2009 I completed a Jonathan Coulton style song a week project. It was thoroughly enjoyable but also killed my desire to write music. Thankfully I’m over that now, in part due to playing bass for Lunar Rising where song writing was not the forefront of my committments.
